Voted ‘Best Master Planned Community’ in America in 2005 by the National Association of Home Builders, Vistancia definitely lives up to the hype. The amenities at Vistancia are woven throughout the community in a collection of villages. Each village has its own distinct characteristics which makes the community unique and allows residents to discover something new around every corner.
Some of the community features at Vistancia include: 3.5 miles of trails, mountain preserve landscape, golf course designed by Gary Panks, 3 community pools with water slides, tennis courts, full-size basketball gymnasium, public parks, community schools and numerous community events. Vistancia has a section that is an age-qualified resort community called Trilogy which is available to residents that are 55 or older. The Blackstone section of Vistancia is an exclusive country club community that features luxury custom homes starting in the low millions. FYI: Membership for the Blackstone country club is 50K with a membership fee of $400 per month.
Vistancia Homes
Currently (as of spring 2007), there are around 100 resale homes on the market in Vistancia. Home prices start around $300K for a 3bed, 2bath, 1,700 sq. foot home and go up to 800K for a 4,000 sq. foot home.
Vistancia is being built in 2 phases, with the first phase being 75% complete. There are 35 different homes in Vistancia being constructed by six builders. Vistancia is located in the Northwest Valley of the Metro Phoenix Area in the City of Peoria. It is located to the northwest of Happy Valley Road ( Loop 303) and Lake Pleasant Road.
For those of you who enjoy boating, Lake Pleasant is about a 5-10 minute drive. Currently, developers are building a Super Target shopping complex and a Safeway Grocery Store (I believe its Safeway?) near the community. FYI: The development company Westcor is planning on building a huge outdoor mall in the near future by the community as well.
Vistancia Schools
Vistancia is located in the Peoria Unified School District. There is currently one K-8 school located in the community of Vistancia, called Vistancia Elementary. Most high school students in Vistancia will attend Liberty High School, which is about an 8-10 minute drive from the community.
