Maricopa (the city, not the county) is located just southeast of Phoenix. The tremendous growth of the Metro Phoenix area has reached the small rural community of Maricopa. It was incorporated in October of 2003, and since then has experience tremendous growth in the housing market coupled with unheard of price appreciation. The build-out population of Maricopa is expected to reach 75,000 – 100,000 people overt the next 10 years!

Maricopa’s main economic base has been traditionally based towards agriculture and ranching, however it is starting to diversify by luring companies such as Nissan and Volkswagen, both of which have proving grounds in the area. Maricopa has been trying to stay ahead of the rapid population growth by developing numerous city parks and widening city streets.

Many residents of Maricopa enjoy horseback riding, quail/dove hunting and off-road four-wheeling. Maricopa hosts annual events, including: Stanfield Friendship Days Parade, Maricopa Stagecoach Days & Parade, fireworks and watermelon busts and Maricopa Agricultural Center and Bar-B-Que and Air Show.
