The Boulders Resort Golf Club in Carefree made "GOLF Magazine's" list of "Gold Medal Resorts in 1998. It has two outstanding 18-hole courses (the North and South Courses). The North and South courses are continually alternated, allowing one to be kept for private play while the other is used by resort guests. Both courses are well maintained, and the scenery is spectacular. The natural desert terrain sidelines the fairways as well as sporadic desert landscaping in the middle of the fairways.
